Plenty still to do as gardens reach their seasonal peak

Summer exits with a bang, exploding in a flash of vibrant colour, messy borders and above all else, a glut of produce to share with friends and family. Come to think of it, Mother Nature has a rather sick sense of humour, waiting until we are setting off on our much needed holidays to spur our gardens to produce their peak fruit and vegetable harvest.
